Golden Fields’ Chicory coffee is made from roasted chicory roots. Chicory is of the same family as dandelion, but is sweeter. Scientific studies on the chicory are numerous and well documented. Chicory helps the digestive functions of the pancreas, liver and gallbladder, stimulates appetite and helps digestion. Chicory is also documented to stimulate lactation. It has properties similar to those of dandelion, its actions being tonic, laxative and diuretic. As well as its bitter constituent, it contains inulin, other sugars of the fructose family.
