Flea Allergy Dermatitis natural remedy.  F.A.D is a homeopathic and herbal blend designed specifically to support the normal immune response to a cat or dog suffering from flea allergy dermatitis or FAD.

More and more pets are become allergic to flea bites.  In some cases it can only take one flea bite to cause a massive reaction.  The animal will chew and scratch themselves until they break the skin, this can then lead on to secondary bacterial infections of the skin.  The self mutilation from the irritation of the bite is what does the most damage.  Most animals will end up on drugs that ease the itching but don’t deal with the underlying problem and these drugs have the side effect of lowering the immune system even more, the poor animal ends up on a slippery slope to long term chronic ill health.

Allergic reactions are very much tied in with the immune system, so this needs to be boosted through a good diet, along with immune and liver support.  We have our Immune Tonic to boost the immune system.  The liver plays a big role in this problem, therefore long term success needs to involve supporting and cleansing the liver, look at our Liver Tonic to assist.

Flea Allergy Dermatitis comes in a liquid form, as we find this is the easiest way to administer.

It is preferred that it is put straight into the mouth of the animal making sure not to contaminate the dripper. This can be done by adding the drops to a teaspoon, lifting the lip and place in the mouth.  But we do realise that this is not always an option, also the herbal content of this remedy does not taste very nice, it can therefore be added to food and is just as effective.

Our herbal remedies are made with fluid extracts, these are concentrated herbal solutions that use high alcohol content to pull the chemical constituents out of the herb. Fluid extracts are the strongest herbal preparations you can get, therefore you don't have to use much, so for most pets you give fewer drops.  Because of the herbal content they don't have a nice taste, so adding to food is best.  If you are worried about the alcohol content, you can put the remedy in warm to hot water to start with, this will burn off the alcohol content.

Dosage:  4 drops per 10kgs, 3 times daily for upto 5 days.
